Gem Dig
Gem Dig hides mines on a grid of 25 tiles, and your job is to open tiles without hitting one. You pick how many mines are hidden, from one to fifteen, and every safe tile you reveal raises your multiplier. You can cash out after any safe tile, or push on for more and risk losing the round with a single wrong tap. More mines make each tile riskier and each safe tile worth more, yet the long-run return stays at 97%. The mine layout is fixed before your first click, and the fairness panel proves it afterwards. You play with free points that carry no cash value.

Today’s missions
How a round works
Pick a stake and how many mines to hide: 1, 3, 5, 10 or 15. Then open tiles one at a time. A safe tile raises your multiplier and you may cash out at any moment, as long as you have opened at least one. A mine ends the round and the stake is lost. Open every safe tile and the round pays out automatically.
Your round is stored on the server. If you close the tab or lose your connection mid-round, it is waiting for you when you come back, and you cannot start a new Gem Dig or Card Climb round until it is finished. The multiplier after k safe tiles is 0.97 times the product, for each tile opened, of the tiles left divided by the safe tiles left.
Multipliers by mine count
More mines make every tile riskier and every safe tile worth more. These are the multipliers you hold after one, three and five safe tiles.
| Mines | After 1 safe | After 3 safe | After 5 safe |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.01× | 1.10× | 1.21× |
| 3 | 1.10× | 1.45× | 1.96× |
| 5 | 1.21× | 1.96× | 3.32× |
| 10 | 1.62× | 4.90× | 17.16× |
| 15 | 2.43× | 18.59× | 204.51× |
Check the mine map yourself
The mines are placed by a Fisher-Yates shuffle of the tiles 0 to 24. For i from 24 down to 1, take j = floor(rand(24 - i) x (i + 1)) and swap tile i with tile j. The first m tiles of the shuffled list are the mines. rand(n) is derived from HMAC-SHA256 with the server seed as key and the message “client seed:nonce:n”.
The layout is fixed before your first click, which is why the server can show you its fingerprint in advance and reveal the full map when the round ends. The Verify panel rebuilds the map and compares it tile by tile.
Tips for digging
- Decide your cash-out point before you start. Wanting “just one more tile” is exactly when most rounds end.
- With one mine, early tiles are almost safe but pay little. With fifteen, the very first tile is a coin flip with a good payout.
- Each tile’s risk is the share of mines among the tiles still closed, so it rises as you go. The multiplier rises with it, but the edge stays at 3%.
- A daily mission rewards a cash-out after at least four safe tiles, a sensible target at three or five mines.
- Odds on a grid are easier to feel than odds in a slot; for the slot side of the story, read what RTP is and browse our free slots.
