Card Climb
Card Climb is a higher-or-lower game played with the thirteen card ranks, from Ace up to King. A card is shown, you guess whether the next one will be higher or lower, and every right guess multiplies your stake. You can bank the multiplier after any correct guess or keep climbing, but a wrong guess or a tie ends the round. Safe guesses add a little and bold guesses add a lot, while the house edge is applied once across the whole chain, leaving a long-run return of 97%. The full card sequence is fixed in advance and can be verified after each round. Points only, no cash value.

How a round works
Cards run from Ace (1, the lowest) to King (13, the highest), and each draw is equally likely to be any of the thirteen, so the same card can come twice in a row. Place a stake and a first card is shown. Guess “higher” or “lower”. A correct guess adds to your multiplier and shows the next card; a wrong guess, or a tie, ends the round.
After at least one correct guess you can cash out. The multiplier is 0.97 times the product of one divided by the chance of every guess you got right, so safe guesses add little and brave guesses add a lot. A guess that cannot win is not offered: nothing is lower than an Ace and nothing is higher than a King. If the multiplier ever reaches 1,000 times, the round pays out on its own.
The chances, card by card
The multiplier for a first guess is 0.97 divided by its chance. Ties lose, which is why the two chances never add up to 100%.

Check the cards yourself
Card number i is floor(rand(i) x 13) + 1, where rand(i) is the first four bytes of HMAC-SHA256 with the revealed server seed as key and the message “client seed:nonce:i”, divided by 2 to the power of 32. Card 0 is the one shown at the start, card 1 is the first guess, and so on.
All cards of a round are fixed by the seed before you guess, so no card is chosen in reaction to your choice. The Verify panel recomputes the whole sequence once the round is closed.
Tips for climbing
- A middle card such as a 7 gives both sides a chance of just under half, so the multiplier grows slowly. Extreme cards give one very likely guess and one very rare one.
- Long chains compound quickly but fall with a single miss. Choose a target multiplier first and cash out when you reach it.
- The 3% edge is applied once to the whole chain, not at each step, so a short chain does not cost more than a long one.
- A daily mission pays for a chain of three correct guesses that you cash out.
